What is BeReal?
BeReal is a picture sharing social media app. BeReal encourages users to be more “real” by posting pictures at a random time when users are alerted with a notification. We want to build upon BeReal’s motto of “Your daily dose of real life.” Combining our emphasis on fashion and de-influencing we created a new feature for BeReal called Fitsek.
What is fitsek?
A feature of BeReal that allows users to post pictures of their everyday outfits and see what their friends are wearing! Use fitsek to ask for outfit advice on what to wear! Fitsek sends a notification at a random time during the day for users to post. This encourages users to be de-influenced and stop buying clothes so frequently. Users will be able to see that people are not dressed up all of the time like it is portrayed on social media.
02. Chatterbox
What is chatterbox?
Chatterbox is a messaging communication platform much like iMessage, slack, discord, WeChat, etc. Except, it introduces a new form of communication to users: freeform messaging.
How is chatterbox different from other messaging platforms?
Messages between users are not confined to a chronological timeline like in traditional messaging and allows for users to communicate in a jam board like manner.
Chatterbox allows users to move text, pictures, audio around and add replies. This allows users to visualize an entire conversation in one space instead of continuously scrolling vertically to find different parts of their conversation.
In the example above, two friends are planning a trip.
All components of their conversation, including:
-text messages about the places they want to visit,
-pictures of the places
-comments, notes, and replies
-summaries of phone calls about their trip
are consolidated into one place!
